Algoryx Joins Cluster of Forest Technology

Skogstekniska Klustret (The Cluster of Forest Technology) brings together technology companies from northern Sweden that aim to make the forestry industry of tomorrow more efficient and sustainable. Algoryx is now joining as a new cluster member, with mutual hopes for increased innovation and deeper collaboration.

Skogstekniska Klustret (The Cluster of Forest Technology) is an economic association for forestry technology companies in northern Sweden. The association connects member companies with researchers, students, startups, forestry companies, and investors while supporting projects that advance the forestry industry.

“You could say that this association constitutes the ‘nerve threads’ between the associated parties, and the activities we carry out are nerve impulses that accelerate development,” says Linda Nyström, CEO of Skogstekniska Klustret.

Extensive Experience in Simulating Forestry Machinery

Now Algoryx joins Skogstekniska Klustret, as the association’s eleventh member company. As a software company focused on digital physics and physical AI, Algoryx has a range of important clients and collaborations with forestry machinery companies and researchers in forestry technology.

Algoryx CEO Kenneth Bodin sees the membership in Skogstekniska Klustret as a natural extension of existing business relationships and collaborations with several northern Swedish companies. However, he also sees it as a gateway to entirely new opportunities.

Close Collaboration Required for Developing Machine Autonomy

“What excites us the most at Algoryx is the chance to build a strong network locally. For years, we have worked with clients all over the world, which has been fantastic. But as we take the next step toward growing into a larger Algoryx, I believe it will be especially important for us to have a strong presence here in northern Sweden”, says Kenneth Bodin.

Since its founding in 2007, Algoryx’s products and solutions have expanded significantly—from simulation technology for training simulators to offering simulation-based engineering tools and virtual environments for developing new machinery and training autonomous systems to make machines self-driving.

As Algoryx’s products are increasingly used to develop components for real machines, geographical proximity has become an increasingly important factor, says Kenneth Bodin.

“With access to the real physical machines, we can collaborate on new types of machinery, conduct experiments in the field, and make machines autonomous. This type of work is not always easy to conduct remotely.”

“Energy and Unique Perspectives”

Skogstekniska Klustret CEO Linda Nyström warmly welcomes Algoryx with excitement and anticipation:

“Algoryx will enrich the cluster with tremendous energy and unique perspectives on how we can achieve significant technological breakthroughs,” she says.

Linda Nyström emphasizes that Algoryx represents digital technology and cutting-edge expertise that can add substantial value to member companies developing and manufacturing machines and mechanical components for forestry applications:

“This could range from developing simulation-based prototypes and demonstrators to expanding efforts in machine autonomy.”

“It’s incredibly exciting to see what new collaborations may emerge. I believe that both Algoryx and the other members of Skogstekniska Klustret will greatly benefit from being part of a larger network with a shared focus on forestry technology. Together, we can accelerate development,” says Linda Nyström.
